2D® Lingual-Brackets
The brackets are attached to the inside surface of the teeth and are therefore almost invisible in everyday life. The lingual brackets with their special rounded edges are barely noticeable for the patient and are the best in terms of comfort.
Patients can eat and speak immediately after inserting the brackets without any perceptible difference. The self-ligating brackets make it possible for quick and easy arch wire changes on every appointment.
Self-Ligating Brackets (Smart Clip™ / Clarity™ SL • 3M Unitek)®
These brackets are made of metal or optionally ceramic. The clip closure enables the arch wires to be inserted and removed quickly without the use of metal or rubber ligatures, and the sliding mechanism also reduces the friction of the arch wires. This improves wearing comfort and therefore shorter and fewer appointments are required. Their design enables optimal oral hygiene.
Self-Ligating Brackets (Damon®) Ceramic and Metal Combined
These brackets are made of metal or alternatively of metal in combination with ceramic. Their design offers optimal oral hygiene. The sliding mechanism distributes gently the pressure of the arch wire over all the teeth and enables shorter sessions in the orthodontic practice.
Additional Appliances • Fixed Braces Rapid Maxillary Expansion Appliance (GNE)
The rapid maxillary expansion appliance consists of a special screw (hyrax screw), which is cemented at the bands of deciduous molar or premolar and molar. By activating the screw, the upper jaw is expanded in the area of the growth gap in the middle of the palate (sutura palatina mediana). As a clinical sign of a successful maxillary expansion, there is a temporary tooth gap between the middle incisors (diastema). In addition to the conventional GNE, there is also the option of connecting and cementing the Hyrax screw with plastic bite blocks on the premolar and molar. Indication and length of wear are the same as the conventional GNE. The hybrid hyrax is another form of GNE. It is a conventional GNE combined with mini implants in the front of the palate.
Transpalatalarch (TPA)
The transpalatal arch connects the bands of the first molars with the help of a wire running along the palate. This holds the first molars in position on the sagittal and transverse planes.
Quadhelix
The Quadhelix consists of a spring framework running along the palate with four circular loops, which is attached to the maxillary molar bands. Depending on the activation, the upper jaw is expanded in the front or in the posterior region.
Headgear
The headgear, also known as the face bow, consists of an inner arch and an outer arch. Both are connected in the middle. The ends of the inner arch are inserted into the tubes provided on the molar bands. The ends of the outer arch serve to create the elastic tension. The headgear is usually used for distalizing molars in the absence of space or for intrusion or extrusion of teeth.
Nance Apparatus
The Nance appliance has a support on the palate and is attached to premolars and molars with bands. With the help of active elastic elements, the molars or premolars can be distalized, so that space can be created in the posterior region of the upper jaw regardless of the patient’s cooperation.
Lip Bumper
The lip bumper works through the muscle’s own forces and is inserted into tubes on the molar bands of the lower jaw. The lip pressure is transferred to the first molars via the lip pads and causes the first molars to be held in position or slightly distalized.
Lingual Arch
The lingual arch is attached to the molar ligaments of the lower jaw and prevents mesialization of the first molars by supporting the incisors.

Forsus Feather
The Forsus spring is clipped into the fixed braces and has a telescopic element with springs. This mechanism enables bite correction and tooth straightening at the same time. It reduces the treatment time.
Splint Therapy
Clear Aligner
Clear Aligners are invisible biocompatible plastic splints, which make possible the treatment of small tooth misalignments. The splints can be removed at any time and they are easy to clean.
Several individual splints are made during the treatment period, depending on the malposition, in order to allow the gradual movement of the teeth, until the teeth are moved to a correct position.
Positioner
A positioner enables fine corrections of the tooth position as well as their retention. It is made of silicone and includes the upper and lower jaw. The teeth are set in the desired position in the laboratory using a setup model. The silicone splint made on this model contains “suction chambers”. The resulting negative pressure forces the teeth to move in the right position.
Copyplast
A Copyplast splint is a stable, biocompatible plastic splint that can be used to stabilize the treatment result.
Bioplast
A bioplast splint is a soft, biocompatible plastic splint. It serves as an initial solution for TMJ problems, as a bite splint in the cases of a deep bite, as an individual whitening splint or as a grinding splint.
Snoring Splint
The snoring splint consists of transparent biocompatible splints for the upper and lower jaw, which are connected through two side bars. The lower jaw is moved forward by this special connection and is held in this position. The forward movement of the lower jaw expands the throat and decreases the speed of the inhaled air. As a result, the snoring noise is reduced or completely disappears.

Removable plastic appliances without active elements to stabilize the treatment result.
Retainer
Consists of a delicate wire that stabilizes the teeth permanently. It is cemented to the inside surface of the incisors and canines and is practically invisible. After a short familiarization period, the retainer is very comfortable to wear. It is a particularly safe and recommendable method to ensure the long-term success of the orthodontic treatment for the patient.
Combined Orthodontic and Surgical Treatment
A combined orthodontic and maxillofacial surgical treatment is possible for severe jaw misalignments. In this type of treatment, orthodontists and oral surgeons collaborate together. First of all, the dental misalignment is corrected in our practice, then the oral surgeon corrects the jaw misalignment. However, the surgical intervention can only take place after bone maturation. At the end of the combined treatment, an orthodontic fine adjustment of the bite will be accomplished with different appliances.

TMJ problems often occur in the form of TMJ noises, TMJ cracking, restricted mouth opening, with or without pain. The causes are various and diverse. For example, an incorrect bite due to incorrect dentures or jaw misalignment can lead to TMJ problems as well as myofunctional para functions such as pressing or grinding. After a detailed functional analysis, the orthodontist decides which therapy agent is convenient for the patient. Customised splints have been proved to be an effective treatment.

Good oral hygiene is essential during orthodontic treatment. Teeth cleaning is particularly difficult when the appliance is stuck and deposits often stick. That is why our prophylactic assistants practice and explain how to properly and regularly brush your teeth and braces. In addition, if desired, the teeth are thoroughly cleaned, polished and fluoridated at every appointment.
Teeth Whitening | Bleaching
Unfortunately, our teeth get darker in the course of life. Coffee, tea or cigarettes are causes of this process. Many available tooth whitening products such as special toothpastes for whitening strips can damage the gums and / or the enamel. Therefore, we offer you a professional bleaching method. We manufacture individual splints and provide you with high-quality bleaching material according to your needs.
Teeth Cleaning | Airflow
Tooth cleaning with a special cleaning powder, that removes effectively the bacterial plaque and discoloration, which are caused, for example, by tea, coffee, wine, smoking or other consumption foods. During the cleaning with Airflow, a mixture of water and special salt is sprayed onto the tooth surfaces. The treated teeth are then polished to make it difficult for the plaque and different pigments to adhere again. Depending on the consumption of tea, coffee, etc. this type of teeth cleaning should be done about 1 to 2 times a year.
Sport Mouthguard
It protects the teeth from injuries during sports. Whether in soccer, cycling or martial arts
like boxes or karate, the teeth are very sensitive to injury. The consequences will mostly not be covered by the insurance.
The customised mouth guard will be established in the dental laboratory after the impressions are taken.
